Chester

Allow me to introduce my violoncello, Chester.

Chester is a Hans Stainer 100 model violoncello manufactured by the Eastman Strings company of Clarksburg Maryland for Senseney Music in Wichita Kansas. He was completed in 2005 and is a 4/4 sized cello.

(This was not an easy picture to take; even after several tries it’s still pretty blurry.)

At present he’s wearing a matched set of Jargar strings, which play beautifully and sound terrific.

And he has a beautiful back too.
